Icon of the Seas is the world's largest cruise ship, 365 meters long, with a capacity of more than 5,500 passengers and 2,000 crew members. At the end of October, the ship, which was built in Finland, passed the last round of sea trials.

Representatives of Royal Caribbean International, the company behind the creation of Icon of the Seas, said that their "first of its kind" ship is five times larger than the ill-fated Titanic. The hype around the ship has led to record sales. Royal Caribbean International reports a strong demand for its exclusive three-level family suite in the penthouse, which costs $75 thousand, TTG Asia reports.

Bert Hernandez, senior vice president of international relations, said that advance room reservations "sold out in a short time." He said demand came from the Middle East, the United States, Singapore and South America.
