The hit Netflix psychological thriller series "You" will soon come to an end. And fans have been shown what to expect from the episodes that will bring the story to a close.
A new teaser for the fifth season has been released on the streaming service's official social media pages. In it, the show's protagonist Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, returns to the place where it all began: New York.
The hero's partner in this part will be Kate Galvin (actress Charlotte Ritchie), who was introduced to the audience in the fourth season. With her help, Joe will try to end his story as an incorrigible addict happily.
The protagonist will try to establish his new life with Kate, trying to escape the ghosts of his past. In previous seasons, his story was one of obsession, deception, and murder. It seems that, contrary to Joe's expectations, his past sins will finally catch up with him.
Returning to New York will close the narrative circle. After all, it was in this city that the story of Joe's obsession with the writer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lale) began. Being close to Kate, when the hero's psyche is on the verge of collapse, he will face the question - will he be able to hide his dark truth or will the past finally destroy him?
The final season of "You" will start on Netflix on April 24. The story will end with 10 new episodes.
