The occupants attack Kharkiv and its region: a residential complex damaged, there are victims. Photo and video

On the night of Wednesday, April 24, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv. Explosions were heard in the city, there were hits, and civilian infrastructure was damaged.

This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov. Shevchenkivskyi district of the city was under fire.

"A targeted attack on a residential complex in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Information about the victims is being clarified," Terekhov wrote.

Soon it became known about two victims, both with shrapnel wounds. A search and rescue operation was underway.

Syniehubov noted that the enemy hit Kharkiv with two S-300 missiles. The attack damaged the glazing and exterior of four apartment buildings.

Terekhov told Suspilne that the Russian strike had cut off the gas pipeline and that services had to cut off gas supply in the neighborhood where the missiles hit. "We will restore gas in the morning. Recently, there has been chaotic shelling of Kharkiv, mostly residential areas of the city," he said.

In addition to Kharkiv, Russians shelled the central part of Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv district, with two S-300 missiles. Administrative buildings were damaged there, but there are no casualties.

On the morning of April 24, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that the attack damaged about 30 cars and injured at least six civilians .

"Three men aged 33, 45 and 53 have light injuries. Three women aged 25, 45 and 54 have acute stress reaction," the report says.

In total, three high-rise buildings, at least 33 private cars, cafes, shops, and offices were damaged. According to preliminary data, the enemy attacked the city with two S-300 missiles from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation .

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office spokesperson Dmytro Chubenko said that criminal proceedings over the shelling have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Before the explosions in Kharkiv and the region, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of a missile threat and the threat of ballistic weapons from the east.

As reported, on Monday evening, April 22, Russian occupation forces attacked the Kharkiv district with missiles. The explosions occurred at 22:37, and a fire broke out.
