The national teams of Kazakhstan and Slovakia staged a mass brawl at the World Championship. Video
The World Ice Hockey Championship, which is taking place in the Czech Republic from May 10 to 24, was marked by a massive brawl. The national teams of Kazakhstan and Slovakia decided to find out who was stronger not only in hockey but also in boxing.
In the 16th minute of the second period, the Slovaks launched a counterattack, which was completed by Juraj Slafkovsky. The Kazakh goalkeeper covered the puck with his trap after the shot, but the Slovakian forward tried to knock it out with his stick, hitting the goalkeeper's hand.
Artem Korolev stood up for his teammate from Kazakhstan, throwing his opponent onto the goal and starting to beat him. Slovakian Tomas Tatar and Kazakh Temirlan Gaitamirov rushed to the aid of their compatriots, also starting a fight, but with each other.
As a result, the referee had to remove two fighters from each team, but it did not affect the score.
Kazakhstan lost 2-6 and dropped to 6th place in the standings. Slovakia is in third place.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, on May 11, the national teams of Finland and the Czech Republic presented the most boring match of the opening day of the 2024 World Cup. The hockey players did not please the fans not only with a spectacular game, but even with goals scored in regular time, ending 60 minutes with an unusual score in hockey - 0:0.
