Kyiv Pechersk Lavra - the main bell tower
Visiting the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra has always been an interesting activity for both children and adults. There are many museums on its territory: the Museum of Printing, the Museum of Microminiatures, the Museum of Theater, Music and Cinema, the Museum of Historical Treasures, and the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts.
Today, the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra Reserve covers 24 hectares. Tourists like to visit the near and far caves and climb the Great Lavra Bell Tower, as they can see a stunning panorama of the capital from there.
The main Lavra bell tower was built from 1731 to 1745. Its height is 96 m 52 cm, and if you count the part that goes underground, add another 6 m.
It's hard to believe, but the walls of the first tier are 8 meters thick. In order to get as close as possible to "heaven", you will have to walk up 372 steps. Your efforts will not be in vain.
Towers of St. Olga and Elizabeth Church - Lviv
For more than a century, the Church of St. Olga and St. Elizabeth in Lviv has been the tallest building in the city. The neo-Gothic architectural style attracts attention and impresses with its elegance.
The tops of the church's towers reach 88 meters, and you can climb 71 meters. The towers of the church are open to the public, so you have the opportunity to see Lviv from the palm of your hand. But do not rush to climb, because on the way you can look into the Gothic windows at different heights and enjoy the rays of light that play picturesquely on the walls.
Holy Annunciation Cathedral in Kharkiv - the bell tower
Today this church impresses not only with its height, but also with its bright lantern decoration in the evenings. If you look at the temple without lighting, it may seem that it is striped. This effect is achieved thanks to the red bricks and white plaster.

The bell tower of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Sumy
The city of Sumy preserves a historical architectural monument and a spiritual center that tells about the events of the 18th century and the Ukrainian Revolution. The 56-meter-high bell tower of the church was not built immediately, but only at the end of the 19th century. Its parts were made in England and brought to Ukraine. Climbing up to the bell tower's observation deck, you will see not only a beautiful panorama, but also the temple's decoration, which is not visible to the eyes from the ground.

The central dome of St. Michael's Cathedral in Cherkasy
In the central park of Cherkasy there is a building with a cross on its central dome that ends at 74 meters high. This year, the Orthodox church began a new stage in its spiritual life, coming under the care of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
Measuring 58 meters long and 54 meters wide, the church has an almost square base. Its walls can accommodate up to 12,000 believers. Unfortunately, there is no information about access to the central tower of the church, but when visiting Cherkasy, be sure to visit the church. Its interior and atmosphere are inspiring.
