The Belgian capital Brussels has been named such a city by the Express. The city is literally steeped in history and culture and offers its guests a lot of interesting things. Brussels has everything you could want from a city vacation, such as beautiful parks for walking, museums, amazing architecture, and delicious food.

One of the most impressive sights is undoubtedly the Grand Place, a cobblestone square surrounded by town halls that historically housed the city's merchants. You can also find out more at the Brussels City Museum, which preserves the memory of the local culture and the people who lived here. On the first Sunday of every month, admission to this museum is free.
Brussels is also famous for its street markets, and the flea market of the Gare de Bal is definitely worth your attention. Everything you can think of is sold here. Another market that is often overlooked by tourists is Chasseurs Ardennais, which is more food-oriented. Here, be sure to try local specialties such as the famous Belgian waffles and moules frites.
In Brussels, you definitely won't suffer from a lack of contact with nature – there are a lot of parks here. One of the largest in the region is Bois de la Cambre. It has many places for walking, as well as playgrounds and even places for horseback riding. The Parc des Fifties is also an attraction – here you will find the impressive Arc de Triomphe, exhibition halls, and the Bordeaux halls, which also house the Museum of Art and History.
