What better time to start dreaming about a spring vacation than in January, when the holidays are over and there is still half of winter ahead. Experienced tourists advise choosing an interesting and unusual place for such a trip, where you can get a lot of impressions.

The Belgian capital Brussels has been named such a city by the Express. The city is literally steeped in history and culture and offers its guests a lot of interesting things. Brussels has everything you could want from a city vacation, such as beautiful parks for walking, museums, amazing architecture, and delicious food.

One of the most impressive sights is undoubtedly the Grand Place, a cobblestone square surrounded by town halls that historically housed the city's merchants. You can also find out more at the Brussels City Museum, which preserves the memory of the local culture and the people who lived here. On the first Sunday of every month, admission to this museum is free.

Brussels is also famous for its street markets, and the flea market of the Gare de Bal is definitely worth your attention. Everything you can think of is sold here. From ancient works of art to unusual home decor, clothes, jewelry, and much more, you'll want to spend a few hours here wandering between all the sellers of amazing artifacts from the past

Another market that is often overlooked by tourists is Chasseurs Ardennais, which is more food-oriented. Here, be sure to try local specialties such as the famous Belgian waffles and moules frites.

In Brussels, you definitely won't suffer from a lack of contact with nature – there are a lot of parks here. One of the largest in the region is Bois de la Cambre. It has many places for walking, as well as playgrounds and even places for horseback riding. The Parc des Fifties is also an attraction – here you will find the impressive Arc de Triomphe, exhibition halls, and the Bordeaux halls, which also house the Museum of Art and History.

If you want something out of the ordinary, be sure to check out Mini Europe. This unusual space will open in early March and will present the most famous places in Europe in miniature. Nearby, you will also find the Atomium, an impressive modernist sculpture that is a model of an iron molecule magnified 165 billion times.
