The new Honda Passport SUV for the 2026 model year has been officially unveiled after a grueling teaser campaign. The long-awaited car turned out to be inexpensive by the standards of its segment.

The new 4th generation Honda Passport is built on the modified platform of the popular Honda CR-V crossover and is technically close to the Pilot SUV, but the suspension has been redesigned and strengthened. Motor1 reports about the car.

Experts previously managed to drive the new Honda Passport. It was a pre-production prototype. Now the design of the finished car has been completely declassified. We see many elements of geometric shapes: headlights, grille design, and silhouette. Just like the most famous Ford and Land Rover SUVs. But there's no hint of copying, which is something that Chinese manufacturers do, for example.

The 3rd generation Honda Passport model was very similar to other crossovers of the Japanese brand. The company positioned the new model as a car for an active lifestyle. The new car has a unique style and more serious off-road preparation.

Honda has recognized the growing demand for all-terrain vehicles with a brutal design, so the new car has a rougher and more robust appearance. Under the hood is a powerful 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with 285 horsepower. The unit is combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and works as part of the Honda i-VTM4 all-wheel drive transmission with torque vectoring.

The price of the Honda Passport 2026 is about $ 40,000 for the base version. On sale from 2025.
