The American film company Universal Pictures has shown the first teaser of the fifth installment of the cult animated film "Shrek." The last film of the franchise was released in 2010, so for a long time, fans of the project were looking forward to the continuation of the story about the giant, but were not satisfied with the announcement.

In the released video, which lasts less than 30 seconds, you can see your favorite main characters from the movie: Shrek, Princess Fiona, the Donkey, and Pinocchio, who have aged noticeably. However, in addition to the familiar characters, the audience also saw the daughter of the ogre and his wife, voiced by actress Zendaya.

In addition, watching the teaser, one can conclude that Dreamworks Animation decided to make the cult cartoon more modern. The magic mirror will show trendy dances, memes, and various events. The film is scheduled to premiere in December 2026.
