The first in history: the animated movie "Inside Out 2" broke a new record
The animated film Inside Out 2 is breaking records. The animated film has exceeded $1 billion in international box office, becoming one of 12 releases - and the only animated film - to surpass this mark.

A total of 55 films have grossed $1 billion in box office worldwide. The amount is made up of ticket sales in the US and abroad, but only 12 films managed to reach this level only in foreign markets.

While Disney's 2019 The Lion King earned a staggering $1.1 billion internationally, the studio classified the remake as live-action rather than computer-generated, so Inside Out 2 is technically the first animated release to join the top performers.
The largest foreign markets are Mexico ($102.2 million), Brazil ($80 million), the United Kingdom ($72.7 million), France ($62.6 million), and Korea ($60.8 million).
Pixar's sequel is already the highest-grossing film of the year with $1.649 billion worldwide, including $1.002 billion overseas and $646.3 million in the United States. A few weeks ago, Inside Out 2 overtook Frozen as the highest-grossing animated film in history.

To give you an idea of the box office performance of Inside Out 2 among international audiences, Deadpool and Wolverine grossed just over half of that amount, $634.1 million. However, Deadpool and The Wolverine is rated R, which theoretically limits its audience to viewers aged 18 and older.
Inside Out 2 tells the story of a 13-year-old girl, Riley, who, faced with new events in her life, experiences emotions she has never experienced before. To the feelings known from the previous part, such as joy, sadness, fear, anger and disgust, are added anxiety, envy, nostalgia and boredom.
