The famous Ukrainian super heavyweight champion won by knockout in the 1st round. Video
Ukrainian heavyweight Dmytro Lovchynsky (1-0, 1 KO), a participant in the 2024 Olympic Games, made his professional debut. The 25-year-old native of Brovary (Kyiv region) confidently knocked out Georgian junior junior Paata Aduashvili in the first round, who has a record of 10 wins, 37 losses and 3 draws (5 of which were by knockout).
The fight took place at the Palace of Sports in Kyiv and was part of a boxing show organized by Spartabox Faniian Promotions. In the opening round, Lovchynsky punched his opponent's body several times with emphasis. He was knocked to the canvas, unable to get to his feet and continue the fight.
Commenting on his success, Dmytro dedicated it to Ukrainian defenders.
"This is a very valuable experience for me, this is the beginning. I am very pleased with the fight. I dedicate this victory to the soldiers. Glory to the Armed Forces! Glory to Ukraine! We will win! My next start is the Ukrainian championship to be held in Odesa. We are primarily an amateur boxing team, and we have to be the first in Los Angeles in 2028," Lovchynsky said.
Dmytro Pavlovych Lovchynsky is a two-time Ukrainian boxing champion (2022, 2023) and a prize-winner of international competitions. Lovchynsky started his career by participating in major tournaments in 2022, but his path was not easy.
At the European Championships in May of that year, he lost his first fight to Norwegian boxer Omar Shih. In December of this year, Dmytro won the title of Ukrainian champion for the first time.
In 2023, he participated in the European Games, where he lost to experienced Spanish boxer Ayub Gadfa. At the World Olympic qualifying tournament in March 2024, Lovchynsky also failed to make it past the first round, losing to Croatian Luka Pratljacic.
However, in May of the same year, at the second qualifying tournament, he took revenge on Pratljacic and won victories over other opponents, which earned him a long-awaited Olympic license.
