Producer Jerry Bruckheimer announced the continuation of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies without Johnny Depp in the lead role. He explained that he is planning two new parts of the franchise and the team is already actively working on them.

So far, it is known that Margot Robbie will star in one of them, and the entire cast of the previous Jack Sparrow films will be completely renewed. However, as the director explained in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie's perfect performance will require a lot of effort.

"Margot Robbie needs a little more work. The younger cast is close. I hope we get them both," Bruckheimer said.

In particular, the producer, who created all the legendary 5 parts of the film, believes in the successful continuation of the franchise, calling this project "alive for me, alive for Disney."

"We believe that we will do it. It's a very strong story," he said optimistically.

However, despite Johnny Depp's categorical refusal to star in further Jack Sparrow films, Disney is still happy to welcome him back. Earlier, the actor said that "nothing on this Earth is impossible" and even "300 million dollars and a million alpacas" could make him appear in the next installments.

The first Jack Sparrow movie was released back in 2003 under the title Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and the latest installment, Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge, is less than ten years old. It was these films that made Johnny Depp world famous, and fans create cosplays and parodies of his character to this day.

It is not known whether viewers will see 39-year-old Keira Knightley, who played the aristocrat Elizabeth Swann, and Orlando Bloom, who played the role of William Turner, a blacksmith's apprentice and later Swann's husband, in the new installments.

Fans of the legendary franchise are outraged by the absence of their favorite actor Depp. "If there's no Johnny Depp, I won't watch it", "Johnny Depp is the heart and soul of the series. Without him, there are no Pirates of the Caribbean", "Nothing good will happen without Johnny Depp. Honestly, just let the franchise die", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead in the Water", "There are three reasons why Pirates of the Caribbean was good: Jeffrey Rush, Johnny Depp, Gore Verbinski. If there is none of them, it's just Haunted Mansion," fans say on X.
