A Ukrainian film, a recognized hit at international film festivals, the drama "How is Katia?" The film stars actress Anastasia Karpenko (known for her role as cardiac surgeon Oksana Kovalchuk in the TV series "Doctor Kovalchuk").

The film tells the story of an ambulance doctor. Her name is Anna, and she is trying to find justice in an unjust world. The film "How is Katia?" has already been screened at more than 30 film festivals around the world.

Ukrainian film stars also played roles in the film: Kateryna Kozlova, Tatiana Krulikovska, Oleksii Cherevatenko, Iryna Verenich-Ostrovska, Viktor Zhdanov, Olena Khokhlatkina and others. The film was produced by Olha Matat, Vlad Dudko and Serhii Konnov.

The film was directed by Kriystina Tinkevich. According to her idea, the protagonist is the support for her family - her sister, mother, and only daughter Katia. Anna tries to give her child a better life than she had. But an unexpected and shocking tragedy occurs that can destroy everything and leave the heroine alone with an indifferent system and an infinite loss.

The film is not about wartime events, but it is still extremely relevant for today's Ukraine. "The main character faces a trauma. She goes through acceptance, experience, and rethinking. Unfortunately, over the past year and a half, this is an experience that has become familiar to millions of people. Perhaps this film will become a therapeutic experience for someone," says Krystyna Tynkevych.

The film had its world premiere at the 75th Locarno Film Festival in the Concorso Cineasti del presente competition program. The film received two awards at the festival: the Ciné+ Special Jury Prize and the Best Actress Award for Anastasia Karpenko.

"How is Katia?" has already been screened at more than 30 film festivals around the world. The film was presented in the competition programs of prestigious world film screenings, including Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Seville European Film Festival, Stockholm International Film Festival and many others. Currently, the hit continues its journey through the world's leading competitions.

The film "How is Katia?" by Krystyna Tinkevich was also honored at the CinEast Festival in Luxembourg. The film received the Film Critics' Prize at the festival. The film was also awarded the main prize at the Around The World in 14 Films festival in Berlin. The film also received the main prize in the section of the national feature competition of the Molodist festival and the Scythian Deer award.

The film was created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency (the film became one of the winners of the Eleventh State Film Agency Competition in the category of feature debuts). The international promotion of the film is supported by the Ukrainian Institute as part of the proMOTION program.
