As rainforest plants, peace lilies like a semi-shady, warm, and humid environment. Therefore, plant owners should not place them in front of a window that is regularly exposed to the hot afternoon sun, as this can burn them.

The easiest way to tell if your peace lilies are getting too much light is to look for signs of yellowing leaves.

Even though peace lilies do well in a semi-shaded environment, they still need sunlight because if they are kept in a dark place without sunlight, "they will not produce flowers," experts warned.

However, if kept in a dark place, peace lilies will still produce green leaves all year round.

In addition to proper lighting, the houseplant should have plenty of heat and moisture. Therefore, experts suggested placing peace lilies in the kitchen.
