Simon praised Lunin
Spain's goalkeeper Unai Simon categorically answered the question about which of his colleagues was the best in the last edition of the national championship. According to the Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper, Ukrainian Andriy Lunin can be called the strongest in the championship.
Simon said this in a commentary to AS. The Olympic vice-champion emphasized that he could not even include himself in the top three or four goalkeepers of the La Liga season as Valencia's Giorgi Mamardashvili, Barcelona's Andre ter Stegen and Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak were very good.
"Everyone has their own opinion. I also don't consider myself to be one of the three best goalkeepers in the league. Mamardashvili had a great championship, Ter Stegen and Oblak still seem to me to be world-class goalkeepers. Lunin was the best of the season, even though he didn't play more than 28 games," Simon said.
