The best of the best! Ukraine delivered a great relay at the Biathlon World Cup
Ukraine's biathlon team of Artem Tyshchenko, Dmytro Pidruchny, Artem Pryma and Anton Dudchenko performed well in the men's relay at the 2nd stage of the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria. Our boys finished in fifth place.
The Ukrainians started the race perfectly. Tyshchenko made a perfect shooting performance and managed to pass the baton with a 37-second gap.
The second stage was run by Pidruchny and our leader did a great job. Despite a miss and a slight dip in speed, Dmytro lifted Ukraine to 4th place.
Prima almost failed his stage when he lost more than a minute in the run alone, making 2 inaccurate shots. Before the 4th stage, Ukraine was more than a minute behind the leading Norway, ranking 5th.
Anton Dudchenko successfully took advantage of the penalty circles of our competitors, preserving the top 5 for the Yellow and Blues.
At the end of the race, Ukraine was the best in shooting among all 20 national teams, making only three misses. To be fair, Lithuania also missed three times, but it finished last, almost making the round robin.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the day before, Pidruchnyi made a huge breakthrough in the pursuit race at the 2nd stage of the World Cup. The 32-year-old native of Ternopil finished 19th, having started from the 52nd position.
