A dozen electric cars that promise to revolutionize the market

The popularity and availability of electric cars in the world is growing every day. And in the current decade, experts predict a real revolution in this market. Car manufacturers are also preparing for it.

Top Speed publication has collected the top ten most impressive electric cars, which will be released in the next few years. According to the idea, they should impress buyers with their prices, power output, battery range and charging technologies. As well as energy efficiency, safety features and interior comfort.

Cadillac Celestiq (2025)

The Celestiq will be Cadillac's flagship sedan. It will be equipped with high-tech systems and buyers will be able to customize it according to their tastes. The Celestiq will be hand-built. Accordingly, and its price will be from 300,000 dollars without taking into account the additional options, which will probably be a lot. It is expected that only 500 of these cars will be produced per year. The all-electric drivetrain will have a dual-motor configuration, which will provide a power output of 600 horsepower. The Celestiq should accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and the range will be 480 kilometers.

Chevrolet Blazer EV (2024)

Production of this electric midsize SUV should begin as early as this year, with deliveries starting next year. It will be built on GM's BEV3 platform and equipped with a battery with a range of 400 kilometers in the lowest configuration and 515 kilometers in the highest. In just 10 minutes, the battery can be charged so that it can provide 125 km of travel. The Blazer EV will have a power output of 557 horsepower and will accelerate to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.

Tesla Cybertruck (2024)

Announced back in 2019, the vehicle is finally set to go into limited production next year. The Cybertruck will be produced in four different configurations: single-engine, twin-engine, tri-engine and quad-engine. The single-engine configuration will have a range of 400 kilometers, an acceleration time to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, a top speed of 175 km/h and a payload of 1,600 kg. These figures will increase for each higher configuration. The body of the Cybertruck will be made of bulletproof stainless steel sheet.

DeLorean Alpha5 (2024)

The DeLorean Alpha5 is a 2-door ultra-luxury coupe that seats four passengers. A total of 9531 such cars are planned for production. The main design decisions are based on the model of the original 1981 DeLorean. In particular, Alpha5 will have upward-opening fender doors, covering the entire length of the car. That is, covering both front and rear row of seats. The manufacturer promises to accelerate the electric car to 100 km/h in 2.99 seconds, and to 140 km/h - in 4.35 seconds. The announced top speed of the model is 250 km/h. The 100 kWh battery pack should provide a range of 480 km. But the price of the basic configuration will start from 100,000 dollars.

Deus Vayanne (2025)

The Deus Vayanne will first roll off the Deus Automobiles assembly line in 2025. A total of 99 of these electric cars are planned to be produced. The Deus Vayanne was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show in April 2022. It has an all-wheel drive, three-motor configuration, with one of the motors connected to the front axle and two to the rear axles for a total power output of 2,169 horsepower. This configuration offers an acceleration time to 100 km/h in 1.99 seconds and a top speed of 400 km/h. The Deus Vayanne's driving range is planned at 500 kilometers, and the accelerated charging technology should charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes. This should be enough for 350 km of travel.

Mercedes-Benz EQG (2024).

The Mercedes-Benz EQG will go into production in 2024. It will be an electric version of the long familiar G-Class. However, some exterior differences will distinguish the electric car from its gasoline-powered cousin. A 107.8 kWh battery will power four electric motors placed at each wheel to maximize torque vectoring and improve handling. The EQG 560 and 580 variants are expected to produce the same power as the top-of-the-line EQS version with 516 horsepower. Energy efficiency and battery life figures are not yet known. But the German automaker promises a very powerful SUV.

Polestar 5 (2024)

The first concept model was unveiled in 2020. The Polestar 5 is expected to enter production in 2024. Not much is known yet about the actual specifications of its powertrain. It is expected to be equipped with a twin-motor configuration with about 884 horsepower. The electric car should have a range of 480 kilometers. The cabin features seating for four people, a 15-inch infotainment screen and a 12.5-inch driver's display.

Kia EV9 (2024)

The EV9 is developed on the same e-GMP platform on which the Kia EV6 was built. The new model will come with two battery packs of 76.1 kWh and 99.8 kWh. In the base configuration, the first battery pack will power one engine with 215 horsepower, while the second one will power a 201 "horse" engine. The range will be 540 kilometers. The more advanced model will have two 380 horsepower engines and will accelerate to 100 km/h in 6 seconds.

Chevrolet Silverado EV (2024).

The Silverado EV is designed to be the best electric work truck on the market. It is promised a towing capacity of 3,600 kg and Chevrolet promises a 9,000 kg model later. The Silverado EV will have two levels of interior trim. The first will be the Work Truck (WT) trim, which will have 510 horsepower. The RST trim should be more powerful with 664 horsepower. Both modifications will have on board a 200 kWh battery, which provides 645 kilometers of travel without recharging. As well as a voluminous front trunk.

Tesla Roadster (2023/2024)

The second generation Tesla Roadster will be one of the fastest cars in the world. The initial acceleration time to 100 km/h is promised at 1.9 seconds. Although Ilon Musk intends to use 10 small cold air rocket engines that will be located around the perimeter of the car, which could reduce the acceleration time to an insane 1.1 seconds. The top speed of the Roadster should be at the level of 400 km/h. Such power should be provided by three engines, one of which will be connected to the front axle and the other two to the rear. The four-seater sports car will not only be powerful but also efficient. It will come with a 200 kWh battery pack with a range of 1,000 kilometers.
