The new low-cost Renault 5 E-Tech EV model has attracted a lot of attention and even collected a huge number of orders before the start of sales. In addition, the car was named the best car in the world in 2024. The model has many distinctive advantages.
As OBOZ.UA reminds, the new Renault 5 E-Tech was named the best car of 2024 by Top Gear among many contenders. Of course, the budget electric car from France managed to find a balance of several useful qualities.
The first is the price of the Renault 5 E-Tech EV. The price starts at 24,000 euros. This is a great offer, a truly budget-friendly car in the electric segment. At the same time, in some countries, there is a bonus of 4000 euros and the cost is reduced to 20,000.
The second is the appearance. The retro-styled design of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric continues the styling of the 2021 concept, which hinted at a production car. The new electric car is designed to look like the Renault R5 budget hatchback, which was produced from 1972 to 1996.
The third is the characteristics. The top variant offers 150 hp and 410 km of range. The mid-range version has 120 hp with a 40 kWh battery pack and a range of 312 km. Later, a cheaper version with a 40 kWh battery pack and a 300 km range with 95 hp will be offered. This will be the cheapest Renault 5 E-Tech.
