Tesla, known for its ability to break stereotypes and change the industry, is once again in the spotlight. And while the company has repeatedly surprised its fans with revolutionary technology and design, this time the news concerns changes in its strategic policy on prices and availability.

It is about one of the most talked-about models of recent years, the Cybertruck. Edmunds said that the basic rear-wheel-drive model of the futuristic vehicle has already been discontinued, and alternatives have become much more expensive.

When Tesla first unveiled the Cybertruck, the vehicle caused a great excitement among motorists and critics alike. Its futuristic design, which looks like a cross between an armored vehicle and a concept car from the world of science fiction, immediately captured the public's imagination. However, the promised combination of high performance and affordable price was an equally important part of its success.

Recently, the company decided to abandon the basic version of the pickup truck with rear-wheel drive. It was presented as the most affordable version of this futuristic car.

Instead of an affordable rear-wheel drive version, Tesla left only the more expensive all-wheel drive versions of the Cybertruck on sale. This decision led to a significant increase in the price of the model.

For example, the price of all-wheel drive versions of the Cybertruck has increased by an incredible $20,000. Now, the most affordable variant costs $99,990, while the Cyberbeast model will cost buyers $119,990. More recently, in early August, the rear-wheel drive version could be ordered for $60,990, while the all-wheel drive versions were much cheaper - $79,990 and $99,990, respectively.

It is worth noting that Tesla often changes its pricing policy depending on market conditions. The company has repeatedly raised prices for its models to meet demand and then lowered them to boost sales. However, these changes often occur without warning, which makes the situation even more unpredictable for buyers.
