Taylor Swift's fans staged a real mini-earthquake at the concert

Two concerts of the American pop star Taylor Swift in Seattle, USA, caused an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.3. Fans were so excited about their favorite singer's performance that scientists recorded seismic activity.

The data was recorded during the Swift Eras tour at the Lumen Field stadium on July 22 and 23. According to the BBC, both concerts were sold out (scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos).

Jackie Kaplan-Auerbach, a professor of geology at Western Washington University, compared the measurements from the two nights and confirmed that they were almost identical.

About 144 thousand spectators came to the artist's two performances, which means that more than 70 thousand people danced to the celebrity's songs at the same time every night.

Since Swift has a lot of dance tracks in her repertoire that have become hits, her fans couldn't hold back and jumped up and down in their seats. This is the first major tour of the star in the last 5 years, so it is not surprising that so many people were waiting for her concerts.

It should be noted that a similar record was previously set in Seattle in 2011 during a football match.
