Fashionistas in 2024 should prepare for dramatic changes in shoe trends. Those pairs that were at the peak of popularity a month ago look outdated today.
Business Insider asked four stylists what will be in fashion this year. They named the models that can be purchased and six options that will make the look look anti-trendy.

The "school" style of shoes, which looks like a cross between loafers and lace-up boots, will be very popular in the new year. Usually, such pairs have a low platform and are made of patent leather or a substitute.
Another shoe to pay attention to is the so-called "Chelsea village boots". According to Margaret Stone, personal stylist and founder of My Happy Closet, suede Chelsea boots in a "rustic" style are another new trend.
Classic loafers will also be in fashion, which can be stylized with almost any outfit. But those who like bolder shoes can try adding a pair with metal inserts to their outfit.
Stylists also recommend looking for a pair of white sneakers without branding in the new season. The trend for simplicity makes fashionistas abandon the characteristic symbols and logos of famous brands.
Conventional ballet flats, low-heeled shoes, and cowboy boots remain relevant, so we can summarize that the trends of 2024 will be dominated by forgotten trends from the 2010s and 2015s.
What shoes should be abandoned
Military-style boots are fading into the background. It is advised to replace rough boots with ties with something more laconic, such as a "school" pair.
The fashion for flip-flops will also disappear in the new season. Especially for urban, not beach, variations of these shoes. Open-toed sandals or mules are allowed.
We recommend replacing pumps with traditional loafers. They will look more presentable. Also, in 2024, it is recommended to abandon massive high-sole sneakers and give preference to simpler sports shoes.
