On the morning of February 19, powerful explosions were heard in the Russian city of Bryansk. The network announced the operation of air defense.

According to preliminary data, the occupiers tried to shoot down drones over the city. This was reported by Russian media.

The explosions over Bryansk occurred around 6:45 am. A photo with traces of smoke in the sky was also posted online. The Russian Federation claims that air defense allegedly destroyed a UAV over the city.

In addition, the network said that the UAV was seen over the village of Polpino, which is subordinated to the administration of the Bryansk city district. At the same time, Russian media reported that an airplane-type unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the Bryansk region. The Russian Federation also claimed that there were no casualties or damage, but added that emergency services were working on the scene.

Later, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, said that the second Ukrainian drone in the morning had been destroyed over the region. The official also said that there were no casualties or damage.

As a reminder, explosions occurred in the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia on the night of February 17. The local authorities claimed a "missile threat" and "air defense operation".

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on February 15, Russia said that Belgorod had allegedly suffered a "massive shelling". As a result, a shopping center was damaged, there were deaths and at least ten people were injured.
