Former Russian Defense Minister and now Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu suddenly spoke out about negotiations with Ukraine. According to the representative of the Putin regime, they are "impossible" as long as Ukrainian troops are in the Kursk region.

Shoigu said this in an interview with one of Russia's propaganda state channels. He also called Ukrainians "terrorists" and accused the state of "seeking to commit nuclear terror."

Imagine the official of the country that attacked its neighbor for no reason and has been terrorizing peaceful Ukrainians for many years calling the victim a "terrorist." Shoigu said it is because of the start of the AFU's operation in the Kursk region.

"Kursk is a significant issue. We have not, are not, and will not conduct any negotiations with the terrorists. This is exactly who they are," Shoigu said.

As one of the propagantists of the Russian ruling elite, he began to project the Kremlin's aspirations onto Ukraine. In particular, he said that our country was allegedly preparing an act of nuclear terror.

"Because the desire to carry out nuclear terror against the Kursk nuclear power plant is nothing more than the highest level of terrorism, I would say. The desire and aspiration was to head there and take over the Kursk nuclear power plant. Fortunately, this was not possible," the former Russian Defense Minister said, apparently forgetting that it was during his tenure as head of the Russian Defense Ministry that the occupiers seized the Chornobyl and Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plants, with the latter still being held, posing threats to its normal functioning and nuclear safety.

Shoigu does not consider himself or his Kremlin "superiors" to be either "nuclear terrorists" or occupiers. Therefore, in his opinion, negotiations between Russia and Ukraine can take place after Ukrainian forces leave the Kursk region. In his opinion, it is not necessary to withdraw Russian troops from Ukrainian soil as the continued occupation of part of Ukraine's territories is obviously not an obstacle to Moscow's imaginary negotiations.

"As long as we do not push them out of our territory, we will not conduct any negotiations with them," Shoigu said with a menacing face.

However, not all Russians appreciated such "harsh" statements.

"Did I miss something? Are they even asking for negotiations?" wrote one of the commenters to the relevant news on the Dozhd (TV Rain) Telegram channel, and received a response, "They refused, that's why Shoigu made the relevant statement."

"He's right, they will negotiate only when the Armed Forces are in Moscow", "The Armed Forces have been in Kursk region for more than a month and they are still 'pushing them out'. You want too much", "Thanslation: this is an admission of their inability to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the legal borders of the Russian Federation. They literally beg them to leave," Russians comment.

Many have drawn attention to the schizophrenic nature of Shoigu's statements.

"I take it that even Shoigu does not consider the rest of the regions (occupied territories of Ukraine - Ed.) to be Russian?", "So until these clowns are pushed out of all the territories of Ukraine occupied since 2014, they can also refuse to negotiate with Russia? Convenient," the network users say ironically.

Earlier, ISW reported that as at the time when Shoigu is scaring the world with the "impossibility" of a diplomatic end to the war, Russia is trying to find mediators for talks with Ukraine.

It was also reported that on September 5, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin declared his readiness to negotiate with Ukraine on the basis of the Istanbul agreement. According to the self-styled "president," Russia has "never abandoned" the "negotiation process." In Moscow's fantasies, this process consists of Ukraine's surrender and Kyiv's fulfillment of all the Kremlin's ultimatums, including the abandonment of its territories, both those occupied by Russian troops and those where no Russian soldier has ever set foot.
