Many people believe that they have watched all the most famous films and TV series. Nevertheless, there are films that remained little known after the premiere.

And at the same time, they are not inferior to the most popular ones. OBOZREVATEL has compiled a list of 2020 series you might have missed.

Love & Anarchy - Netflix

The unusual 2020 romance begins with masturbation. The heroine Sofie Rydman, who is disillusioned with her marriage, starts a new job at a magazine. She masturbates in front of her computer and accidentally catches the eye of an IT guy who filmed the whole process on his phone. She starts flirting with him to prevent the video from spreading. Later, Sofie and Max start a romantic relationship. The series raises the topic of feminism and destroys the social myths.

Guilt - BBC Scotland

This is the first series of the newly created BBC Scotland channel. The crime thriller began with a mistake: drunk brothers hit a man at night. Without calling an ambulance, they pretended that nothing had happened. The guys found the victim's wallet and it turned out that the man lived nearby, a few houses away... The viewers emphasized that they liked the series and predicted the channel to be as successful as the British one.

Dave - FXX

The plot is based on the autobiography of American rapper and comedian Lil Dicky, who tries to find his life's purpose. He has a great understanding of advertising and also shows promise as a comedy writer and actor. However, Dave wants to become a famous rap artist and plunges into the tough world of show business. He invents a pop-culture pseudonym, makes a music video, and gets his first million views on YouTube. Later, the famous rapper records hits even with Ariana Grande. The series shows the true essence of the music environment.

How To With John Wilson - HBO

The six-episode documentary-like comedy series was directed by John Wilson and stars him in the title role. He plays an anxious New Yorker who pestered others with questions. Wilson wants to get to the bottom of the topics that concern society. The character learns about himself and discovers new worlds. The film deals with loneliness, the functions of a big city, and the existence of society. John compares people to cats that spoil furniture. Many people pack their sofas in ugly plastic covers to prevent cats from ruining them. In the city, it's the same way: ugly fences and barriers everywhere to keep people from relieving themselves. In the final episodes, Wilson goes to the resort and then returns, facing a lockdown, where the world has gone crazy.

The Woods (W glebi lasu) - Netflix

This series has remained out of the public eye, but in terms of script and audience ratings, it is as good as the famous ones. The events cover a quarter of a century. In 1994, at a summer camp, four teenagers went for a walk in the woods - two were found dead, and two more went missing. The brother of the missing girl discovers the remains of a human being in the forest 20 years later. Trying to find at least some clue to the disappearance of the teenagers, the relative becomes the main suspect.

Into the Night - Netflix

A charter plane is flying from the Brussels airport to Moscow when it is hijacked by a terrorist. He is convinced that the sun will kill everything, and that humanity can live if it flies after the sunrise. When they landed in Reykjavik, it turned out that some kind of disaster had killed people in the neighborhood. Now the plane is flying into the night to survive.

Adult Material - Channel 4

The main character Jolene is a porn actress. She often gets injured and makes clumsy mistakes in her life. She also fights for her place in society. This is a story about female power and solidarity, where a woman fought her way up from the bottom and went through the mill but remained fragile and naive.
