The Brazilian melodramatic TV series Clone was an incredible success and was broadcast in 93 countries. The plot of the project impressed viewers so much that it continues to be watched 22 years after its release. By the way, the romance that started on the set between the lead actors was an additional reason for the series' growing popularity. Its characters are still followed by loyal fans.

OBOZREVATEL wants to tell you some interesting facts about Clone that you might not know. Initially, the director wanted to call the project "Second Chance" or "Start Over" (to see the photo, scroll to the end).

1. Since some of the characters are shown in different periods of their lives, they were filmed with special tapes - facelift tapes - to make them look younger at first. In the final episodes, they stopped using tape and started applying special makeup.

2. Many scenes of The Clone were filmed in a specially equipped huge pavilion with an area of 830 square meters. A huge number of filters were used to convey the atmosphere of Morocco as believably as possible.

3. The screenwriters wanted to create the most attractive image of Jadi (played by Giovanna Antonelli). Therefore, she was forced to "enlarge" her breasts by putting special inserts in her underwear. The artist also wore false strands to add volume to her hair. During the filming, the celebrity was on a strict diet to look good in her dance costumes.

4. For a long time the shooting took place in the Sahara Desert, at a temperature of about 50 degrees. It was extremely difficult for the actors to film in such conditions, and even the equipment could not withstand it. The equipment did not want to turn on, and the shoes were literally melting, so the actors had to buy special local sandals adapted for walking on hot sand.

5. Some spicy episodes with Jadi and Lucas were filmed in the middle of the desert. They almost had a mishap. Not far from the tent, they found a poisonous snake that could kill a person.
