The travel expert warns passengers traveling on low-cost airlines, such as Ryanair and easyJet, not to take extra items in their carry-on suitcases to avoid paying a fine. So, it is better to leave hair dryers, towels, and shampoos at home, as they are usually provided by hotels.

This was told by Trtl Travel CEO Matthew Corrigan to the Daily Express. He explained that one of the best ways to maximize your baggage allowance and ultimately avoid unnecessary costs is to take a strategic approach to packing.

"While it may seem like an insurmountable challenge, there are some simple ways to maximize the space in your carry-on," said Matthew.

The first rule is not to pack "unnecessary things".

"Do not bring things that will be provided at the hotel, such as hair dryers, towels, and soap. Take only those things that you will definitely use. And try to share phone chargers and other technology whenever possible."

After all, personal care products (soap, shampoo) can be purchased at your destination. And these costs will be less than the penalty for exceeding the weight of your carry-on suitcase.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote about the tricks that will allow you to save money and not overpay for extra luggage while traveling. In particular, you should choose the right suitcase.
