On the evening of January 22, the Russian army shelled Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, with artillery. One civilian was killed and another was injured.
The head of the regional state administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported the shelling on his Telegram channel at 17:05 on Monday."One person was killed... We also know about a 66-year-old man who was wounded," the official said.
A civilian car caught fire, an apartment building and a store were damaged as a result of the shelling.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said that the occupiers struck the town at around 16:00. The deceased was the driver of a car that caught fire due to Russian shelling.
"The driver of the car died on the spot. Another man was injured," the SES press service wrote.

– On January 21, the Russian Ministry of Defense boasted of the "liberation" of Krokhmalne, Kharkiv region. The head of the public relations service of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Fitio confirmed the capture of the settlement by the enemy: the small village, where about 50 people lived, was wiped out by the invaders. The military also called the loss of positions in Krokhmalne a "temporary phenomenon."
