Russian war criminals massively attacked Zaporizhzhia region on Tuesday evening, September 17. The occupiers' bombing of the Komyshuvakha community left two dead and five wounded, and more people are being searched for under the rubble.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration Ivan Fedorov. He also added that the invaders hit residential buildings and one infrastructure facility of the community.
"Komyshuvaske community: several private houses and an infrastructure facility were destroyed. Preliminary, two people were killed and five civilians were wounded. We are searching for people under the rubble," said Fedorov.
Komyshuvakha heard the explosions immediately after the air raid was announced in the region. At 9:25 p.m., Fedorov warned of the threat of guided aerial bombs in Zaporizhzhia region. Two minutes after the warning, he reported the first explosions. From 21:27 to 22:20, a series of explosions were recorded in the region.
The alarm in the region was raised only at 23:00.
In total, according to Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, the occupants struck 178 times in 12 localities over the past day. In particular, they carried out 3 air strikes on Kamianske and Pyatikhatky. 81 UAVs of various modifications attacked Magdalynivka, Yasynuvate, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and conducted 17 attacks with multiple rocket launchers and 76 artillery attacks.
"Last night, the enemy began an unusual activation, when they started shelling the territory of Zaporizhzhia region with multiple rocket launchers. Why unusual? Because it hasn't happened in the last 4-5 months. The enemy has not fired at the frontline settlements of Zaporizhzhia region with multiple rocket launchers. The enemy fired at least 8 multiple rocket launchers at the territory of Komyshuvakha community, which is located 15-20 km from Zaporizhzhia. The enemy hit civilian infrastructure, destroyed houses and injured people. We currently have information about at least two dead and five wounded. Four of the victims refused hospitalization, one person was hospitalized and is being treated by our doctors," Fedorov said during a telethon on the morning of September 18.
He later clarified that a man born in 1953 was hospitalized. He was diagnosed with mine-blast trauma, shrapnel wounds and rib fractures. Doctors assess his condition as moderate. The victim is being provided with all necessary assistance.
Fedorov also noted that there may be people under the rubble at the site of the hit, and a search and rescue operation is underway.
