Russians attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs: they hit a high-rise building, dozens of people were injured. Photos and video

On the afternoon of September 15, Russian Federation forces launched aerial bombs at Kharkiv, and a series of explosions were heard in the city. A multi-storey residential building was damaged, there was destruction and fire, and at least 33 people were injured.

The Ukrainian Air Force announced an alert in the region around 15:07 on Sunday. Five minutes later , the military warned that a Russian drone was flying to Kharkiv region. At the same time, the occupiers attacked Donetsk region. At around 15:20, the press service warned of repeated launches and called on Kharkiv residents to take cover three times within 10 minutes.

"Suspilne reports that explosions were heard both in Kharkiv and in the suburbs. According to online communities, local residents saw smoke in the sky.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the regional state administration Oleh Syniehubov confirmed the fact of enemy shelling.

At 15:35, Terekhov posted on Telegram: "A hit on a multi-storey residential building. Fire, destruction. Information about the victims will be forthcoming." At the same time, Syniehubov reported damage to civilian infrastructure in the Nemyshlyansky district and three wounded.

Around 15:50, it became known about 25 victims, three of whom were children. Ten minutes later, the known number of wounded increased to 28.

As of 4:208 p.m., according to Terekhov, 33 civilians in the high-rise were wounded. The enemy hit the 10th floor of the building, and the fire spread to four floors - from the 9th to the 12th.

"The world must help defend Ukraine from Russian military aircraft, from dozens of guided bombs that take lives of Ukrainians every day. This terror can be stopped. But to stop the terror, we need to stop the fear of strong decisions that are objectively necessary. Only determination can end this war justly. It is determination that most effectively protects against terror," President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the shelling.

He showed a photo from the scene of the incident, and the head of the OP Andriy Yermak showed a video of the damaged house where the fire broke out.

Around 16:40, Syniehubov informed that the occupiers had fired at least six unmanned aerial vehicles at Kharkiv and the region.
