Russians attacked a nursing home in Sumy where elderly people lived: there is a dead and injured. Photos and video
On Thursday, September 19, Russian terrorists attacked a Geriatric nursing home in Sumy, where 221 elderly people lived. As a result of the attack, one person died of his injuries in the hospital, and 12 others were wounded.
The deceased was a 78-year-old woman. The main impact was on the upper floors of the building, where 24 residents were staying. This was reported by Suspilne Sumy. People are sleeping on the street. The victims were hospitalized, several of them are in serious condition.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that 147 people were evacuated from the building. The technical and 5th floors of the building were partially destroyed.
"There are no people under the rubble. One person died, 12 were injured," the service said.
"All of them are elderly people with limited mobility who were in the institution," the National Police of Ukraine added in Telegram.
5 rescue buses, including 2 from the SES, and 2 SES medical teams are involved in the work to transport patients to hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

– Also on September 19, Russians attacked a hospital in the town of Seredina-Buda, Shostka district, Sumy region. Two people were injured in the attack.
– On September 18, the occupiers also launched an air strike on Sumy. Critical infrastructure came under fire again, which resulted in a power outage at 22:03 at all water utility facilities.
