Russian tourists who tried to get to Germany by trickery were "turned around" at the airport
A Russian tourist named Ekaterina complained that she and other Russian citizens were "turned away" at a German airport because they had the wrong documents. They were trying to get into the country by trickery, hoping for the inattention of border guards.
The Russian woman wrote about this in her blog on the way home. Her entire complicated route from point A (Moscow) to point B (Frankfurt) was in vain.
Katerina decided that she was smarter than European laws, so she got herself a Spanish multivisa. The Russian woman chose this country for a reason. She has friends there who helped her to get a permit to stay in Spain.
However, she had no plans to stay in the country. After flying from Istanbul to Barcelona, since the skies over Europe are closed to Russians, Katerina continued on to Germany.
There she was met by local law enforcement officers who looked at her Spanish visa and sent the intruder home.
"They detained me even before passport control and baggage claim. They had an open counter with police officers because of the upcoming championship. Because the visa was for Spain, they called it a hoax," the Russian woman complained.
She was taken to a separate room, where three policemen questioned the tourist, and then decided not only to send her back to Russia, but also to cancel her Spanish visa. The same was done to other travelers who tried to enter the country illegally. The tourist was also fined 800 euros (36 thousand hryvnias).
