Thai authorities have announced the start of a crackdown on illegal tourist workers, many of whom are Russians. Locals are outraged that foreigners are taking away their bread and call on authorized officials to influence the situation.
This is reported by propaganda media. Citizens of the Russian Federation are massively engaged in illegal business activities in the famous resorts of Thailand - Phuket, Pattaya and Chiang Mai.
Russians are increasingly working in areas such as taxi services, organizing and conducting excursions for tourists, and mediating real estate transactions.
Russian-speaking guides, for example, have already created a certain "scheme". They translate for Thai guides, and as soon as law enforcement officers appear on the horizon, the unfortunate workers immediately pretend to be ordinary tourists.
Over the past two weeks, police have been conducting daily raids. Those who are "caught" face serious fines and deportation. Recently, the authorities of the Phuket resort reported on the detention of an illegal Russian guide who was traveling with a group of Russian tourists to the Similan Islands.
Propagandists are sounding the alarm because, in addition to the so-called "repression" of illegal immigrants, the Thai authorities are planning to ease the visa for Russians. Thanks to this document, Russian citizens could safely stay in the country for 90 days with a single stamp, which was placed immediately at the airport.
