Ukrainians listened to domestic music more often this month
For the first time in many months, the majority of Ukrainians watching music on YouTube have abandoned Russian content. The Top 10 in the Popular selection as of today, November 7, consists of tracks by Ukrainian singers and foreign hits only.
In a short period, most Ukrainian users listened to them, which helped the platform create a list of popular new releases. OBOZ.UA decided to tell you more about them (scroll to the bottom of the page to see photos).
The first place is currently held by a remix of the track "Znaidy mene" (Find Me) by a prominent singer Klavdiia Petrivna, whose name and face are kept secret. The track has already become a hit not only on YouTube but also on TikTok.
Natalia Buchynska's song "Za khmaramy" (Behind the Clouds) won Silver. It was listened to more than 1.3 million times in 2 weeks.
The third place was taken by a new video by a South Korean idol, member of the mega-popular band BTS, Junguk. It's worth mentioning that the music video for the artist was shot by Ukrainian Tanu Muino. It was viewed over 23 million times in four days. The video also features Ukrainian model Pasha Harulia.
Alina Zhuk's "Voloshkovyi Tsvit" (Cornflower Blossom) took the fourth place, and the energetic Jerry Heil rounded out the top five with her track "Try Polosy" (Three Stripes)
The song "Ne sviati" (Not Saints) by Tina Karol also became popular among Ukrainians, with over 300 thousand streams in 5 days. It was followed by the lyrical composition "Liubov yak osin" by the Kharkiv band Kavabanga Depo Kolibri.
The last three positions in the top 10 are shared by Maksym Borodin with the song "Skazhu meni" (Tell Me), Zhadan and the Sobaky with Khrystyna Soloviy and the song "Sertse" (Heart), and the aforementioned Klavdiia Petrivna with her track "Imperatory" (Imperators).
