Russian army hits children's rehabilitation center and orphanage in Sumy: more than 10 injured, up to 400 windows damaged

In the evening of September 1, Russian terrorist forces hit the building of an educational institution in Sumy with a missile, which houses a center for social and psychological rehabilitation of minors and an orphanage. There are 13 known victims (as of 23:40 on Sunday).

The shelling was reported by the press service of the regional military administration on Telegram. "Russian terrorists have once again committed a crime against the civilian population of Sumy region," the regional military administration emphasized.

The damaged facility is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood. As of 10:55 p.m., according to preliminary information from Deputy Mayor Stanislav Polyakov, there were no casualties, four people were hospitalized. Up to 400 windows in the houses were damaged.

Suspilne Sumy at about 22:50 said that among the wounded were a boy of seven and a girl of 13.

At 23:40, the city council clarified that 13 victims were known. Four were hospitalized, the same number received medical care on the spot, and five will be treated on an outpatient basis.

"We will never forgive the enemy for his atrocities! He will be responsible for the tears of our children!" said local authorities.

It should be noted that the alarm was raised in Sumy region at 20:24. The enemy carried out a series of attacks. The regional military administration called for compliance with safety rules and not to ignore the sirens.

The Ukrainian Air Force warned about the activity of Russian tactical aviation and the threat of the enemy using ballistic weapons.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, in the afternoon of September 1, Russian aviation attacked two industrial enterprises in Sumy. There is at least one victim. Then three explosions were heard - the enemy launched guided aerial bombs at the infrastructure.
