Russia complained about a new attack by Ukrainian drones on the night of April 28. The Russian Defense Ministry reported the "destruction" of 17 UAVs over four regions of the Russian Federation overnight.

The night was particularly noisy in the Bryansk region, and in the Kaluga region, all three "destroyed" drones were found near the oil depot in the town of Lyudinovo. This was reported by Russian official resources and local channels.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed a traditional "victory" in the nighttime UAV attack on Russia: they reported the "destruction" of 17 Ukrainian drones.

"Seventeen Ukrainian UAVs were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty, including nine over the territory of the Bryansk region, three over the territory of the Kursk region, two over the territory of the Belgorod region, and three over the territory of the Kaluga region," the ministry, headed by Sergei Shoigu, said.

Local authorities reacted differently to the loud night. For example, the governor of the Belgorod region had not made any statements as of 9:00 a.m.

His counterpart from Kursk region limited himself to reposting the "victorious" message from the Russian Defense Ministry.

The head of the Bryansk region published several messages on Telegram with a thorough count of the "downed" UAVs (by the way, he counted less than the number stated by the Russian Defense Ministry).

Meanwhile, residents of the region are posting videos in local channels that were shot in the region last night. Meanwhile, residents of Bryansk region report a total of "four destroyed drones," specifying that "three UAVs were destroyed over Vygonychi district and one over Trubchevsky district."

And the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, reported the "downing of 3 UAVs in the area of the Lyudinovo oil depot." He claims that there were "no casualties or damage" as a result of the drones being "shot down" by the oil depot.

As a reminder, on the night of April 27, UAVs attacked a number of facilities in Russia: two refineries, a bitumen plant, and an airfield. As it turned out later, the refinery and airfield in Russia were targeted by the SSU and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the afternoon, Russian channels published a video that allegedly showed the aftermath of the strike on a military airfield in Russia. Judging by the footage, it appears that bombs were being modernized there. And the refinery in Sloviansk-on-Kuban suspended operations after the drone attack. The equipment there was damaged.
