Russian propagandists are tirelessly generating fakes about the Ukrainian army in Kursk region. In particular, they have started spreading lies about "NATO mercenaries" in Russia and the "atrocities" they allegedly committed.

However, when the residents of the part of Kursk region that is under Ukrainian control learned about the stories of the Russian media, they were quite surprised. A TRO Media crew showed how civilians from the Kursk region refuted the fake z-propaganda.

"The "NATO soldiers" that the z-propaganda shouts about have disappeared from Kursk region. It is a rare case when Russian lies can be refuted in person. The TRO Media crew visited a village in the Kursk region, where NATO mercenaries are allegedly atrocities," the statement reads.

The journalists drew attention to an appeal to the Russian authorities allegedly on behalf of "hundreds of residents of the village of Kozacha Loknya" demanding to provide a "green corridor" for Russians who remain in the village. The "appeal" states that this should be done urgently, as the Russians are allegedly suffering from "atrocities" committed by "NATO mercenaries and Ukrainian soldiers."

The "atrocities" are described in the best traditions of the school of the "Crucified Boy" creators: Russians were allegedly shot at point blank range when trying to leave the village, while those who remained were "driven into houses by the Nazis and held captive, our children, women and elderly were and are being abused by the Nazis."

"People are in complete isolation, without food and water, under the full control of the enemy!" the authors of the "appeal" note pathetically.

"Armed" with this information about the "atrocities of the Nazis and fascists," the journalists went to Kozacha Loknya to ask the locals about these "horrors."

For example, they asked one woman whether Ukrainian soldiers had driven locals into their homes.

"No!!! Well, how did they drive you? They asked you not to come out. There was a shootout, so they asked us not to come out. That's how it was," said a local resident, with her fellow villager standing next to her and nodding his head in affirmation.

She was also asked about the "wounded children" that Russian propaganda is carrying around.

"I haven't seen anyone wounded... And there are all children here... I don't know who they're talking about," the Russian woman wondered.

"There was no such thing here. Maybe there were before, before this... Maybe when they left here? But there was no such thing in the village," the residents of Kozacha Loknya were lost in speculation.

And the information about the "Holodomor" turned out to be exaggerated, as is often the case with Russian propaganda.

"There is no water, yes. We have no electricity. We have no gas. And we have no communication," says another Russian woman, while a woman's voice says indignantly that "no one is mocking us."

"I'm not saying anything... My nephew lives with me, my mother-in-law is standing there - no one! They came and brought us canned food and other basic necessities. No one mocked us at all... Aunt Lyud, they say here that we are being mocked, that we are sitting without water," the Russian woman addresses a passerby.

"No one is mocking us. We are also being fed. We asked our neighbors if they were hungry. We are not hungry. Was it mockery? I don't know," she says.

"It's just absurd! No one insulted us. In the early days there was a shootout. Perhaps there were wounded. Maybe some people were killed. But it was a shootout. This is a war! No one is mocking us!" another local pensioner said, gesturing vigorously.

Earlier, the star of the TV series When Everyone's Home told us what narratives Russian propaganda feeds Crimeans. In particular, they are told that Crimean Tatars are allegedly traitors and Bandera is alive.

Meanwhile, the Defense Forces are making progress in the Kursk region, taking control of new Russian villages, ISW experts noted in a recent analytical material.
