The world of professional film is fiercely competitive, so actors sometimes have to resort to tricks to get the role they want. For example, there are cases when they greatly embellish the truth or do not tell it to the end.

Some famous actors had to lie to get into a desired project, OBOZ. UA.

Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson is known to viewers for the "Twilight" series. He also starred in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster film "Tenet" and Matt Reeves' superhero movie "Batman."

At the beginning of his career, to make his resume look bigger, Robert had to embellish reality. In particular, he often lied that he was studying at the prestigious RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) theater school, and it had a positive effect.

Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis auditioned for the TV series "That 70s Show" when she was only 14 years old. To avoid being rejected because of her young age, she added 4 years to her age.

She said she was already 18, got the role, and when the crew found out the truth, they didn't kick her out. Moreover, Mila's age did not create any problems for the filming.

Eddie Redmayne

Eddie Redmayne (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) has many talents, but he doesn't know how to ride a horse. Out of fear that this would be an obstacle to getting a role in the television series Elizabeth I, he lied to director Tom Hooper that he was confident in the saddle.

On the set, it became clear that the actor had no idea how to handle horses. Fortunately, everything ended well, although Eddie still had to sign up for riding lessons to stay in the project.

Chloe Grace Moretz

Chloë Grace Moretz tricked a casting director as a teenager to get the role of Isabelle in the movie Hugo. She claimed to be of British descent, as she believed it increased her chances of getting cast.

The young actress was quickly brought to light, but the lie was considered a plus, and even advised to do a similar trick with Scorsese himself.

And it worked. The legendary director did not realize the deception for a long time, and when he realized that it had been carried out, the filming of Hugo was already in full swing and he did not change anything.

Chris Hemsworth.

Male actors usually tend to add a few extra centimeters to their height, but Chris Hemsworth, with his 1.9 meters, often had to reduce this figure during casting.

However, he was perfect with his texture for the "Thor" project, where he played the God of Thunder perfectly.
