Honda is in the final stages of preparations for the launch of the updated Passport SUV and its new off-road modification, the Passport Trailsport. These models promise to be the most durable and powerful representatives of the Honda lineup, aimed at those who love adventure and difficult routes.

The new Trailsport, according to Honda, will be the company's most powerful and adventure-ready SUV. The design of the new model, which is hidden under a camouflage coating, has a rather aggressive look that emphasizes the car's readiness for off-road use.

We still don't know all the details, but Honda has already confirmed the presence of the time-tested 3.5-liter V6 engine that will power the Trailsport. It is already used in previous versions of the Passport, producing 280 horsepower and 355 newton meters of torque.
One of the biggest new features for the Trailsport will be a new 10-speed automatic transmission, which will replace the previous 9-speed transmission. However, it is not yet known whether this gearbox will be available for the Trailsport or will be part of the entire Passport lineup.
The next-generation Passport Trailsport also features an updated second-generation I-VTM4 Torque-Vectoring all-wheel drive system. Honda has already conducted rigorous testing of the new model in a variety of off-road conditions, including Moab and the sand dunes of Michigan.
