Tre Cime di Lavaredo

It is located on the border of the Italian provinces of Belluno and Bolzano. The mountain range is famous for its three rocky peaks.

Since 1869, the three teeth have been considered one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Dolomites. In addition to picturesque views and various routes for climbers, the attraction has a rich history associated with the First World War as part of the frontline between Italy and Austria-Hungary was located here. Tunnels, caves, fortifications, and traces of explosions have been preserved to this day.

Most tourists choose to trek around Tre Cime di Lavaredo. The path starts near the Rifugio Auronzo shelter. The hike lasts from morning to evening. Travelers will see Misurina and Antorno lakes, the Cadore Valley and the town of Auronzo di Cadore. There are also places to stay for the night. Marmolada

Val Gardena

One of the most popular ski resorts in the Dolomites. It unites 3 locations:

Ortisei (1,236) is famous for one of the best areas for beginners - Alpe di Siusi. Families with children often come here. The red routes lead to the top of Seceda (2518), where tourists can see a high frozen waterfall.

Santa Cristina (1,428). We recommend climbing Ciampinoi (2,254). From here you can admire the Sassolungo peak (3,181). For professionals, we recommend going down the World Cup road - Saslong A, which is held every year during the Christmas holidays.

If you want to see the Fishburg Castle, choose Saslong B. The building was erected in 1641 as a hunting residence of the Wolkenstein princes.

Selva (1,563). The pistes from Dantercepies (2,300) to Selva are long, gentle slopes, perfect for relaxed skiing. However, their location is characterized by rapid wear of the piste surface. Therefore, to enjoy the conditions, you should start skiing as early as possible.

Lake Carezza

It is located in South Tyrol at an altitude of 1,540 meters above sea level. It is considered one of the most beautiful in the Dolomites. The reservoir has a rich turquoise hue.

It is fed by underground springs and meltwater, which ensures its constant renewal. By the way, the depth of the lake varies throughout the year: in spring, during snowmelt, it reaches 17 meters, and in autumn it becomes shallow to 6 meters.

There is a legend about the magician Masaré, who fell in love with a mermaid living here. However, his feelings were not met, so he decided to give her a rainbow of precious stones. After another refusal, the man threw the jewelry into the lake, and it began to shimmer with different colors.

Alleghe

A town in the Veneto region in the province of Belluno. It is located in the Dolomites on the shores of the lake of the same name. In winter, people often go ice skating and play hockey here.

From here, travelers can admire the Civetta mountain range. It is also where the popular route to the top of Monte Civetta starts. The ascent takes place at an altitude of 3,220 meters.
