The Wethrift publication conducted a small study among the most budget-friendly cities and found that New Delhi was the cheapest, receiving 69.2 points out of 80. Factors such as housing, food, attractions, and transportation were taken into account.

Prices for housing and entertainment

Tickets for entertainment and excursions cost an average of $64 (2,500 hryvnias). This is almost twice as cheap as in Istanbul, Turkey, and Madrid, Spain.

Food

Food is what New Delhi is known for. In the city, you can find delicious world-class street food at extremely low prices. Metro recommends trying juicy lamb kebabs at Chandni Chowk, spiced chole bhature at Karol Bagh market, and fried momos at Lajpat Nagar.

According to the study, street delicacies will cost $2.5 (90 hryvnias).

Transportation

Transportation is also cheap here. You'll have to pay about $0.40 (14 hryvnias) for a ride. The choice of transportation is also wide as it includes taxis, rickshaws, and even subway, which has 255 stations.

Vibrant nightlife

"Delhi has good clubs and bars that stay open all night if there is a crowd. There is something of a layered nightlife scene here. Many of the clubs function as restaurants during the day, but when dinner ends around 10 p.m., the music is on and the bar scene takes over. Many of these clubs close at 1:00 a.m. but the bars stay open later. The dance clubs are like ghost towns until midnight but they stay open until late/early 6:00 a.m.," Suzanne says.
