Winter vacations in warm countries are becoming increasingly popular. In fact, research shows that more people would prefer a warm winter vacation than a summer one – 33% vs. 31%.

Especially for those who are looking for warmth in the winter months, the Express told about the islands, which are called a hidden gem, where eternal summer reigns. Tourists do not visit this destination so often, so you can soak up the sun on the beach here in a rather secluded place. This is the island of Homer, which is part of the Canary Islands and belongs to Spain.

It's not as well known as Tenerife, but it stands out for its tranquil volcanic landscapes, lush forests, and mild climate all year round. This island is one of the top 15 island destinations for Europeans to go to in winter.

The Corn Islands are at the top of the list. They are a territory of Nicaragua and lie in the Caribbean Sea. These idyllic islands, which include Big Corn and Little Corn, are famous for their rustic charm, soft fine sand beaches, turquoise waters, and lush palm trees. Visitors can go snorkeling among the vibrant coral reefs, dive to explore historic shipwrecks, or simply relax with fresh seafood while enjoying a peaceful getaway from the tourist hustle and bustle.

Zanzibar's quieter brother, Pemba Island in Tanzania, took the second spot. It boasts emerald green waters, mangroves, and pristine diving spots. In December, the average daily temperature here is 30 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is an ideal destination for those looking for sun and fun. Explore the picturesque coral reefs, get to know the rich Swahili culture, and discover traditional villages for an authentic African island vacation.

The lush tropical paradise of Taveuni Island in Fiji rounds out the top three. It is also called the garden island. Tourists can take a walk in the Boma National Park, admire the Tavoro waterfalls, or go diving on the Rainbow Reef, which is one of the most biologically diverse underwater ecosystems in the world.
