Drivers take great responsibility when choosing a new car, as it is a rather serious and expensive purchase. But expectations do not always match reality.

Even seemingly perfect models sometimes disappoint their owners. That's why Consumer Reports shared a list of cars that most people would not buy again.

It would seem that when you buy an expensive car, the risk that it will have problems that will affect the quality of driving is minimal. But in reality, many non-budget models do not meet the needs of drivers.

CR's vehicle satisfaction score is based on drivers' responses to whether they would buy the same model again if they had the opportunity. It shows whether the vehicle met the buyer's expectations.

Cars that did not meet the expectations of their owners

Infiniti QX50

The Infiniti QX50 is equipped with an innovative engine and a roomy, quiet, and well-furnished interior. But the engine doesn't deliver the promised performance or fuel economy, and the controls are confusing to use.

Only 25% of owners said they would buy this car again.

Volkswagen Taos

Although the Taos has a surprisingly spacious cabin for such a small car, as well as quite nimble handling, its powertrain has serious drawbacks.

Only 38% of car owners would buy this model again.

Nissan Sentra

The Nissan Sentra has a very attractive appearance and is on par with the top models in the compact sedan class. It offers a comfortable ride, agility, excellent fuel economy, and intuitive controls.

Despite this, less than half of the owners of this car, namely 39%, would buy it again.

Kia Sorento Hybrid.

The redesigned Sorento has more technology and active safety features than before, but it's still not as sophisticated as the previous generation. Although it is faster and more fuel-efficient, the car does not stand out for its ride comfort and overall refinement.

Only 42% of owners would spend money on this car again.

Nissan Kicks

The Kicks is aimed at drivers who need the benefits of a compact SUV but don't want to pay for additional features

44% of buyers said they would buy this car again if possible.
