"Ours are not at home": a rally in support of war prisoners in Russia has begun on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv. Photos and videos
On January 18, another action "Ours are not at home yet" was held in the capital in support of missing and captured soldiers. Relatives and friends of the defenders who remain in Russian captivity, as well as concerned Kyiv residents gathered on Maidan Nezalezhnosti.
This was reported by an OBOZ.UA correspondent. People were holding posters with photos of the defenders of Ukraine.
Thus, on Saturday, January 18, a peaceful action "Ours are not yet home" began on Independence Square in support of the families of the military who went missing and are in captivity.
It brought together concerned citizens, activists, representatives of NGOs, and artists to express solidarity, and support, and draw attention to this important issue.
"Today, amidst the war, many Ukrainian families are facing the pain of losing their loved ones who have gone missing or are in captivity. We would like to appeal to the international community and all concerned citizens to support those who are waiting for their loved ones," the participants of the action said.
As OBOZ.UA reported, another rally in support of the captured defenders took place in the Ukrainian capital on December 29. Then Ukrainians came out in Kyiv to rally for the release of Azovstal's defenders. The venue for the rally was St. Sophia Square, where the country's main Christmas tree is set up.
