Opel's inexpensive Duster rival shown in detail
The long-awaited 3rd generation Opel Frontera budget crossover has already been officially presented as a 2025 model year car. The new rival to the Dacia Duster was shown in detail.
Opel is part of the Stellantis group, along with Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat and many other brands. Therefore, the Frontera compact crossover received familiar technical solutions. The design was made in the current style of the company with spectacular detailing. The car is shown by Autogefühl.
The new Opel Frontera for the 2025 model year actually replaced the Opel Crossland compact crossover, but with a 4.4-meter body, it is slightly larger. The car is very similar to the new Citroen e-C3 and actually has the same body. The bumpers, lighting design and wheel rims are different.
The new Frontera is based on the CMP modular platform. This also makes the model similar to Peugeot 2008, Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600. It was decided to design the new model in line with the current trends that almost all new SUVs in the world follow. The silhouette of the model is square, with straight, simple shapes everywhere. The interior is designed for 5 and 7 people.
The inexpensive car will get an electric version with a price of 29,000 euros. It will offer a range of 300 and 400 km and a 156 hp engine. There will also be two hybrid versions: 100 and 136 hp. The price of Opel Frontera hybrid starts from 24,000 euros.
