In the occupied Crimea, 61-year-old Crimean Tatar journalist Ediye Muslimova was detained by FSB officers and held captive for 36 hours. On the night of November 23, after a long interrogation, she returned home.

Muslimova was detained on November 21, and until then, her relatives could not contact her. The journalist reported this on her Facebook page.

The Crimean Tatar noted that FSB officers told her that they had "received a signal".

During the interrogation by the FSB, the journalist was asked many questions about her work, in particular about her editorial activities in the Crimean Tatar children's magazine "Armanchyk."

According to Muslimova, she was interrogated about the authors of the materials and who was involved in the publications. At the same time, she noted that she was not subjected to violence, and the FSB officers were "correct." Muslimova was also asked about the number of subscribers to the magazine, she noted that there are currently 1485 of them, and emphasized that the magazine will continue its work.

Ediye Muslimova is a well-known representative of the Crimean Tatar intelligentsia, who was engaged in educational and publishing activities, especially in the development of Crimean Tatar children's literature. Her magazine "Armanchyk" contains educational and entertaining materials for children, including comics, poems, and fairy tales.

As a reminder, Russia continues to illegally detain hundreds of political prisoners who are citizens of Ukraine. Most of them are Crimean Tatars. Releasing them from Russian captivity is extremely difficult, and the help of international partners is essential.
