Netflix movies are no exception, as it also offers a number of low-grade ones alongside real masterpieces.

Lift

Lift is an American comedy action movie directed by F. Gary Gray.

Cyrus Whitaker, a professional robber, is forced to cooperate with Interpol in order to avoid going to prison. Agent Abby Gladwell, who had a brief affair with Whitaker, asks him to rob a famous European banker, Lars Jorgensen, who collaborates with dangerous terrorists.

He is going to send gold bars worth a huge amount of money on a large passenger plane from London to Zurich. The main character has only a few days to prepare for the robbery at an altitude of 12 thousand meters

According to most critics, this is one of the worst films of 2024 with a clichéd plot and meaningless dialogues.

Rotten Tomatoes rated it at 30%, while IMDb - at 5.5

Damsel

Damsel is a dark fantasy film directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. It stars Millie Bobby Brown, most known by Stranger Things, in the lead role.

Lord and Lady Brayford watch helplessly as their kingdom dies of famine and environmental problems while their daughters, Elodie and Floria, desperately fight to survive. Soon, the Brayford family receives an offer of marriage of convenience, so Elodie has to become the wife of Prince Henry.

While enjoying a life of luxury, the friendly young women quickly realizes that the marriage is a formality, and in fact she is to be sacrificed to the Dragon. Not wanting to be another offering to the bloodthirsty creature, Elodie decides to break the vicious circle of death.

Unfortunately, neither Brown nor the $70 million budget saved Dansel from total failure. The film's rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 56%, on IMDb - 6.1

Irish Wish

Irish Wish is an American romantic comedy with fantasy elements directed by Janeen Damian.

Book editor Madeline "Maddie" Kelly falls in love with an attractive Irish writer Paul Kennedy, but is afraid to confess her feelings to him. Six months later, she regrets her indecision, as her best friend Emma Taylor has started a relationship with Paul and is preparing to become his wife.

Invited to a wedding in Ireland, the young woman makes a wish to change places with Emma, and it for some reason comes true. Maddie can't believe her luck, although it doesn't last long.

Soon she begins to doubt the properness of her own decision, as she meets the photographer James Thomas.

Critics have admitted that the plot of the film is interesting, but the terrible acting and intrusive car commercials make it hardly watchable.

The movie's rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 42%, on IMDb - 5.2

Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver

This is a fantasy movie by Zack Snyder, the second part of the Rebel Moon series.

Kora, who has joined the rebel movement, seeks to overthrow the regime of a ruthless killer and usurper, Senator Belisarius. She joins forces with her allies to defeat Admiral Atticus Noble, Belisarius' right-hand man.

Immediately afterwards, Kora rushes back to the remote satellite planet Veldt to arm its few inhabitants, as she realizes that the Empire will soon strike back...

The critics have said that if the first part showed at least a few interesting alien worlds, the second one is mostly devoted to the battle for the field of wheat and the condemnation of the empire that wants to take away the grain from the unfortunate farmers.

The film has a 16% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 5.3 rating on IMDb.

Unfrosted

Unfrosted is an American comedy directed by Jerry Seinfeld. The plot is based on the true story of the creation of thePop-Tarts toaster pastries.

In the early 1960s, the city of Battle Creek, Michigan, is home to two food giants - Kellogg and Post. Both companies compete with each other in the breakfast cereal market. They use the most sophisticated methods of competition, including sabotage and corporate espionage.

Soon, Bob Cabana, a high-ranking Kellogg executive working on a revolutionary new product, invites NASA scientist Donna Stankowski to help him...

Critics and audiences alike criticized Unfrosted for its flat jokes and lack of logic. The film's rating on Rotten Tomatoes is 16%, on IMDb - 5.5.
