"Not interesting to Usyk himself": Russia suspects Fury of lying
The World Boxing Association (WBA) Asian middleweight champion Pavel Sosulin (7-0, 2 KOs) expressed confidence that Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) will return to the ring. The King, as the Briton is known, is getting his price up after two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs).
Sosulin said this in an interview with the Russia Today propaganda channel, which is hiding under the name RT due to sanctions. The 28-year-old from St. Petersburg added that the third Fury vs. Usyk fight is meaningless, while Tyson's fight with Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) will be of great interest.
"I think Tyson Fury is bluffing. Once again. That's why everyone is calm about his statement. This is big business, where there is a lot of money. So they play some games. There is no point in a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk. It is simply uninteresting, including for Usyk himself. He is moving on. But the Fury-Joshua sign is very good. In this schedule, we shouldn't forget about Daniel Dubois," Sosulin said.
On January 13, Fury announced his retirement. It is important to remember that he has already done this twice. In 2017, he announced his retirement from boxing after defeating Wladimir Klitschko, and in 2022, after defeating Dillian Whyte (30-3, 20 KOs). After those announcements, Fury returned to the ring a few months later.
At the same time, Tyson has already received an ultimatum from promoter Eddie Hearn. And the paparazzi showed what is happening to Fury after his career is over.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the head of the Saudi General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Al Al-Sheikh, intends to persuade Tyson Fury to resume his career.
