Dynamo Kyiv won a difficult victory over their neighbors Obolon in the 17th round of the Premier League, which was the last match of the year for both teams. Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's men, who finished the match with a two-man advantage, managed to break the opponent's defense only in the second half, winning 2-0.
The match started perfectly for the White and Blues. Already in the 13th minute, Brewers defender Artem Vovkun knocked down Dynamo forward Vladyslav Vanat and earned a straight red card. This was the third sending off for the home team in the last three matches, all in the first half.

In particular, in the 62nd minute, striker Benito appeared, who almost immediately opened the scoring. The Nigerian put his back to the defender, broke into the penalty area, and shot between the legs of the Obolon goalkeeper.

After that, Dynamo continued to attack, and in the 84th minute, Obolon midfielder Taras Moroz left his team with nine men when he earned his second yellow card. A minute later, Dynamo captain Vitalii Buyalskyi earned a penalty kick, which Vanat confidently converted.
Thus, the White and Blues have scored 28 points in the standings with three games to spare. Dynamo won all four matches after Mircea Lucescu's resignation with a total score of 10:2.
