New cars will appear in Ukrainian trains: who will be allowed in them
Ukrzaliznytsia will use inclusive railcars for group transportation of wheelchair users. It is expected that the car will have 4 separate compartments, each of which will be able to comfortably accommodate 2 wheelchair users and their attendants. According to plans, the first such car will be released in 2025.
This was reported by the carrier itself. They noted that 2 sleeping sofas will be installed in the compartment of the car, which can change the angle of inclination and fix the body.

In addition, it will have a lighting control panel, a button to call the conductor, and a public address system. And also:
- Special sleeping places for attendants, which do not differ from the usual place in the compartment.
- Ramp and toilet adapted for a person in a wheelchair.
- The vestibule, entrance area, and other spaces will have parameters for easy movement in a wheelchair.
- Air conditioning system, combined heating system, and other elements already familiar to modernized cars.

"Ukrzaliznytsia is systematically replenishing its fleet with passenger railcars that have compartments for the transportation of people in wheelchairs and other amenities for a comfortable trip. We currently have 50 such cars. And today we are presenting a new project – a unique railcar that will allow us to transport groups of people in wheelchairs for rehabilitation, recreation, competitions, or just travel. We will fully equip it at our own facilities. We plan to release the first such car next year," the statement said.
