Navalny's family did not attend the funeral: his wife limited herself to posting on social media
Today, March 1, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who died in prison above the Arctic Circle, was buried in Moscow. His associates, family, and world leaders believe that the politician was murdered. The line of people who came to say goodbye to Navalny stretched for several kilometers. However, neither the oppositionist's wife nor children were among them.
Navalny's family – wife Yulia, daughter Daria, and son Zakhar – did not attend the funeral. Yulia Navalnaya said goodbye to her husband on social media.
She posted a video in which she collected footage of Alexei Navalny. Yulia chose Zemfira's song "Please Don't Die" as the musical background for the video.
"Lesha, thank you for 26 years of absolute happiness. Yes, even for the last three years of happiness. For your love, for always supporting me, for making me laugh even from prison, for always thinking of me. I don't know how to live without you, but I will try to make sure that you are happy for me and proud of me up there," Yulia Navalnaya wrote.

Navalny's mother was the only member of his family at the funeral. Thousands of people thanked her for her son near the church where the oppositionist was buried.
As a reminder, on Friday, March 1, the funeral of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny took place in Moscow. Security forces increased security at the Borisovskoye Cemetery and near the Soothe My Sorrows Church, where the ceremony took place. Early in the morning, at least forty police cars of various sizes gathered near the church, metal barriers were set up along the road, and riot police were on duty.

Russians who came to say goodbye to Alexei Navalny, among other slogans, even chanted "Glory to the Heroes!". At the same time, the Internet was "jammed" in the Maryino district, where the farewell to the oppositionist took place.
Navalny's supporters spotted snipers on the roofs of houses near the church where the politician's funeral was held.
