Actor Dmytro Sova, who recently received a draft notice from the military commissariat and joined the Armed Forces, spoke about his colleagues who are also in the Armed Forces. The actor says that half of the crew of the movie Cherkasy, where he played one of the main roles, is now defending the country.

Dmytro Sova said this in an interview with OBOZ.UA. The celebrity says that not only actors but also members of the film crew and sailors who took part in the events when Cherkasy was blocked in Crimea went to the front. They later starred in the movie.

"Cherkasy is a great story and a great team. I made new friends there," says Dmytro Sova, "Almost half of the guys I worked with are now at war. Oleh Shcherbyna is in intelligence, Ruslan Koval is in the Marines, Yevhen Avdeenko is in Azov and Mykhailo Voskoboinyk is in the air assault. I am also always in touch with Roman Semysal, Oles Katsion, and Anton Tolmachev. Both actors and crew members are sailors who took part in the events when the Cherkasy was blocked in Crimea. These guys acted with us in the movie and were consultants."

The Cherkasy Facebook page also reports on other Ukrainians from the creative team who are involved in the Armed Forces, "Dmytro Zolotarev, a camera mechanic, is serving, and girls from the creative team are volunteering: makeup artist Maria Pilunska and makeup assistant Kateryna Moiseenko, costume designer Daria Kochneva and assistant Iryna Rakitianska. They are also a big part of the creative team that created this movie."
